The overhead panel now has it's own dedicated power supply. It was previously powered by my bench power supply on my desk, but it's time to give it something permanent. So I got this 240VAC to 5VDC 5.5A power supply off lelong.com.my for MYR34 + MYR6 shipping. I ordered at it 3:30AM on Saturday morning, and it arrived on Tuesday morning, which is not bad considering it was the New Year's weekend and Monday was a public holiday.

It's of the typical "industrial" design where you attach the AC wires to it via screw terminals. Despite crimping proper spade connectors on the AC wires and there being a plastic cover over the screw terminals, I've never been too comfortable with this design of power supply. So for an extra level of safety, I put the whole thing in a disused ice cream plastic tub. I used a much bigger enclosure as I will need to add a another similar power supply into it to drive the servo motors (my Pi would hang when the servo motors were under load if i powered both from the same supply).

I pasted a warning sticker over the cover. I think it looks much better with this than when it used to say "Wall's Lime Sherbet Flavour" ...
