Shada
Just finished reading the “unfinished episode” of Doctor Who: Shada (no relation). If you’re a fan of Doctor Who OR The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy OR Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, it’s a must read. Gareth Roberts did an excellent job in bringing it to novel form; I often wonder which parts were in the original script and which are new. It certainly has Douglas Adam’s DNA in it.
I bought this off Amazon Kindle and was glued to it. It’s not my first Kindle book, but the first one I’ve read sequentially end to end. The story was so engaging I read it whenever I could between my Galaxy Note and iPad, whenever I had the chance. I loved how (1) it was always accessible to me (2) the latest page I’d read would be sync’d across devices and (3) now that I’m done with it, I don’t have yet another paper book that I need to allocate shelf space for and carry with me whenever I shift homes again.
